Jean Jaurès, (born Sept. 3, 1859, Castres, Fr.—died July 31, 1914, Paris), French socialist leader, cofounder of the newspaper L’Humanité, and member of the French Chamber of Deputies (1885–89, 1893–98, 1902–14); he achieved the unification of several factions into a single socialist party, the Section Française de l’Internationale Ouvrière. During the war fever of July 1914, he was assassinated by a young fanatic who believed that Jaurès’s pacifism was playing into the hands of imperial Germany.

Jaurès was born into a lower middle-class family that had been impoverished by business failures. He excelled in secondary school and was given a scholarship to attend the École Normale Supérieure in Paris. After passing his qualifying examination, Jaurès taught at the lycée of Albi from 1881 to 1883, and from 1883 to 1885 he was a lecturer at the University of Toulouse.
A convinced republican and a brilliant orator, Jaurès was more attracted to politics than to teaching and in 1885 was elected deputy from the Tarn. As he did not yet belong to any party, he took his seat in the centre of the Chamber. His election prompted the parents of the girl he loved, Louise Bois, to consent to their marriage. Madame Jaurès received as her dowry a handsome rural estate of 91 acres (37 hectares). Because his own political creed disclaimed the ownership of private property, Jaurès was often reproached for his possession of this estate.

UNDERSTANDING OF PLAGIARISM

Understanding of plagiarism

In general the word plagiarism is a standard term in Indonesian vocabulary.
However, the term is less popular than the word plagiarism.
Etymologically Plagiarism is actually taken over from Dutch plagiarism.
In English Plagiarism is plagiarism. Then absorbed into Indonesian into plagiarism.
Plagiarism or often called plagiarism was first used by a poet from Rome, Marcus Valerius Martialis in the first century. He coined the term Plagiarism
in Latin Plagiari (us) or Plagi (um). Plagiarius has the meaning or meaning of kidnappers / kidnappers, hijackers or robbers. While the term Plagiary is a derivative of the word plagiarius, which was popularized by a script writer Ben Jonson in 1601 in England.
According to Sastroasmoro (2007) plagiarism is "the act of submitting (presenting) or presenting (presenting) ideas or words / sentences of other people without mentioning the source".In Indonesian Language Large Dictionary (KBBI) Plagiarism is a form of noun (noun) which means taking an essay (opinion and so on) of another person and making it as if the essay (opinion and so on) itself, for example publishing someone else's writing on his own behalf ; plagiarism. Wikipedia page mentions plagiarism or plagiarism is plagiarism or making of essays, opinions, and so on from other people and makes it as if it were an essay and his own opinion. According to the slang dictionary, the language used by children today is the term plagiarism is fake, or fake (falsehood).Plagiarism or plagiarism can be considered a criminal act for stealing the copyrights of others. In the world of education, plagiarism actors can get severe penalties such as being expelled from school / university.
Launching page businesslaw.binus.ac.id, Elisabeth H. Oakes and Mehrdad Kia (2004: xvivi-xlviii) classifying or dividing plagiarism into: direct, patchwork, and paraphrase plagiarism. According to the presentation pattern, plagiarism can be divided into five types. These types are: (1) verbatim plagiarism, (2) patch plagiarism (patchwork), (3) paraphrase plagiarism, (4) keyword plagiarism or key phrases, and (5) structure plagiarism of ideas.

Verbatim Plagiarism

Verbatim plagiarism is the highest plagiarism of the weight of the violation, namely taking the work of someone else exactly as it is, by giving the impression that the plagiarism of the person concerned is personal.

Patchwork Plagiarism

Patchwork plagiarism is done by taking other people's work from various sources without mentioning the reference. The pieces from various sources are then sewn so that it becomes a new work and is suggested as the original work of plagiarism.

 Paraphrase Plagiarism

Plagiarism is done by changing the sentence from the original writer into a new sentence from the perpetrators of plagiarism. If the quote is honest, the original author's sentence should be formulated as a direct quote and a reference to the place where the quotation was obtained.
However, paraphrasing plagiarism will do this by taking over the quote and displaying it as an indirect quote, again not mentioning the source of the reference, giving the impression that the original quote came from the plagiarismist.Paraphrase plagiarism also applies when the original writing is translated from one language to another without mentioning the original source.
Keyword Plagiarism or Key Phrases

Paraphrasing plagiarism which is more covert is keyword plagiarism or key phrase plagiarism.
Here the perpetrator of plagiarism only takes a number of key words or key phrases from the original
writing. Next he reformulated the sentences in the original writing, but still included here
and there the key words or key phrases of the original author, without wanting to mention the source
 of the reference.

Plagiarism Structure Ideas Among all types of plagiarism

the plagiarism of the structure of ideas is the most hidden and most difficult to trace. Here plagiarism perpetrators cheat on other people's ideas and
then this idea is poured back through a series of sentences,
with different keywords or key phrases. The ideas of others can come from written sources,
films,or even oral utterances delivered through various forums.
In this context, the keywords and key phrases of the original idea owner are no longer used, but the structure of the idea is still the same.
